Growing in Discernment

One of the key aspects when developing one’s animal communication skills is what I call “to grow in discernment”. Discernment is everything, whether it’s in regards to seeking to connect psychically with other animals, to connect with one’s own inner guidance system or when travelling along the spiritual path in general. It is a skill honed consciously over time which becomes razor sharp, making it a powerful tool to use when navigating the inner realms or indeed life in general. Discernment is an ally to Truth. It is developing one’s inner clarity to the extent that one can discern ‘fact from fiction’, ‘truth from lie’, ‘what is authentic from wishful thinking or imagination. Therefore, as I’ve taught and written many times before: learning animal communication really does go hand in hand with sacred inner work as it takes work and practise to be able to cut through illusions, projections, wishful thinking both in one’s inner and outer life and certainly when it comes to developing consistently accurate animal communication skills. Discernment becomes an animated inner sense which lets us know when we are genuinely connected to another animal and engaged in communication and it also alerts us through a very specific felt sense when we have fallen into projection, fantasy or if there are other extraneous influences affecting the communication.

To develop discernment requires us to be willing to ‘make friends with Truth’ and this is often a rather uncomfortable process as it will often take us outside of what feels comfortable for us into the unknown and unseen territory of the Shadow. Still, it is a journey well worth taking and one which has been taught, symbolised and demonstrated by all Mystical traditions.

So, if you are keen to gain more accuracy with your animal communication skills, start to get to know how your body/heart/mind feels in relation to Truth for over time this will allow you to grow in your discernment.
