The Semi Circle: A group aligned to the Middle Way
The Semi Circle group was born out of the vision to bring metaphysical & spiritual teachings into a modern context, without being captured by the superficiality which has gotten hold of the New Age movement. Not all of the New Age movement is superficial of course, but it is all too easy to ‘throw the baby out with the bath water’ when trying to modernise the “Perennial Wisdom Traditions”. One example of this is the hyper-focus on psychic development, confusing this with Spiritual unfoldment which is of a totally different domain. In fact, trying to force psychic development without countering this with both shadow work and spiritual practise, can lead to all sorts of instabilities and confusions. This was well known in the spiritual traditions of old and as such is recognised as part of their perennial wisdom. Psychic unfoldment will come, in a major way, naturally and in accordance with the inner conditions of one’s psyche and psychic structure.
One can look at this from the opposite direction too – it’s true that as a species our psychic sensitivity and porousness has increased and continues to do so. Often this happens on a sub-conscious level first which means our sensitivity has increased ahead of our consciousness of it. This can lead to a whole range of disturbances in our emotions, thoughts and psyche. Thus, having a strong foundation of shadow work and spiritual practise can be a vital counter-weight to this and streamline the process of integrating our psychic nature into consciousness in a way that is stable and expansive.
The Semi Circle adheres to the ‘Middle Way’ which is founded upon those Spiritual traditions which understand and work from the truth that the Above & Below are already united and it is we who need to unite these within our hearts, minds and bodies. The Earth is an expression of the Divine Word, crystalised into form. As such, the Earth and all of her children are not separate from God in any way, rather they (we) are infinite expressions of the Creativity of the Divine Mind. With this as part of the foundation, we work to remove all notion of separation from ourselves, as this is mere illusion anyway, whilst simultaneously embracing the uniqueness that is present in all individual forms of life, including us!
The world is going through so many seismic changes now, we can all feel this. Work such as that carried out within the Semi Circle also serves to create a small, but powerful safe-haven for those individuals who feel called to go deeply into their own Sacred Nature in tangent with embracing the sanctity of all life on our Earth and of the Earth herself. From this base, we become ever stronger and clear carries of the Divine Light into all that we are and do. And this, in ways that we may never know, will affect the whole helping to midwife in the true New Age.
